Jesolo Lido: what to do and where to go
Jesolo Lido is an excellent choice for a beach holiday but the well-equipped beaches and the beautiful sea are not the only things the seaside offers. If you are looking for long stretches of beach, lots of sun and fun, then Jesolo lido is the right choice for you! Jesolo, however is not a place to visit only in summer. The city has a lot to offer in all seasons, even for a short weekend during the low season!
The beaches of Jesolo Lido
The Jesolo beach stretches for 15 kilometres and its facilities keep safety and entertainment in the forefront. There are many areas dedicated to sports with beach volleyball courts and sailing schools and a playground for the younger ones but not only. If you want a more relaxing kind of beach, you can opt for a private beach, reserved only for the customers of the best hotels in Jesolo Lido.
Not far from Via Bafile you will find the Bau Beach, for your 4-legged friends whom you wish to take with you on vacation. In this case, make sure that the accommodation chosen is pet friendly! Ah! For cooler days or in bad weather, if you don’t suffer from vertigo, take a ride on the Ferris wheel to admire the long stretch of Lido di Jesolo from above.
In open sea
If beach life is not enough for you, don’t worry; you can rent boats, jet skis and canoes! You don’t have a boat license? No problem! There are boats available with low horsepower that you can rent and drive without a license! For those who prefer longer tours that go beyond the Lido di Jesolo, you can book boats with a skipper and chef included.
Fun, Culture and Shopping
During your holiday on the Lido di Jesolo, you cannot miss a visit to the Sea Life Aquarium where you will find fish of all kinds. Ever heard of pineapple fish? You can admire them in the large tanks of the Jesolo aquarium. Leaving the aquarium, you will find yourself already at the Laguna Shopping Mall, where you can find everything you might need. Nothing is missing from a hairdresser to electronics, sports and clothing stores, not to mention the food hall.
Nightlife and Cuisine
If you want to eat really well, try out one of the lido’s fish restaurants to enjoy the catch of the day or the local cuisine. If you prefer more casual restaurants, opt for quality street food, perhaps in the centre of Jesolo Lido. From the seafront, entering the main street of via Bafile, you find QuBe, the hamburger grill joint – serving local organic and vegan products with an assorted menu and a vast selection. The outdoor area of the restaurant overlooks Via Bafile from where you can view the Jesolo nightlife and even become a part of it. After dinner, continuing along the same road, you reach Piazza Mazzini, the most famous square of the city. Have fun going through the floor fountains and enjoy your holiday in Jesolo Lido!
